Restaurant Review - Frypan

Frypan is one of the best Korean food chains in Korea. Whipping up all things fried (fried chicken tenders mostly), Frypan is known for their variety of sauces that you can dunk your chicken in. It is recommended to order the fried chicken over a bed of freshly fried skinned potatoes.

One of my ultimate favorite of Frypan sauces is the original and country. It is the one must visit chicken spot in Korea. With chains all around Seoul, it is definitely a tourist's favorite.

Sweet Tooth Satisfaction - Honeymoon Dessert

An extremely popular dessert chain in Hong Kong is the Honeymoon Dessert which is known for their twist on traditional Chinese desserts. This includes the sweet soup that I previously blogged about. It is a spot for the new generation and open to many younger crowds that are looking to consume the traditional eat.

The popular dessert here is the Fresh Mango with Glutinous Black Rice that is served in an iced coconut milk. It is a great dessert for the summer, but there are also a handful of other traditional twists that Honeymoon Dessert whips up. For those who are looking for something more traditional, try their duo desserts which includes a mixture of two all time traditional eats this includes sesame paste and tofu fa or even a mixture of two pastes with rice balls.

I definitely couldn't get enough of this dessert spot in Hong Kong, but I was grateful that this restaurant was almost in every tourist spot. It is a must visit for all. Catering to the more foreign tastes, there are also other kinds of desserts and drinks that you can try.

Cheap Eats - Jesters

Jesters is a well known Australian pot pie eat. A bit special that my first time having this crazy for pie place would be in Korea. For an average of $3-4 a pie, Jesters carries a variety of palm sized pies that are just over the top delicious. A flaky exterior of a yellow pie crust is stuffed with the warmest and tastiest filling which varies from meat to fruits. Depending on your craving for a dessert or mid day snack, Jesters definitely has some pie that will fulfill your taste buds.

Baked fresh daily, I had a hard time fighting my urge to bring home a box full of Jester's pie after having only the minced beef. They really do have one of the freshest and most delicious meat and fruit pies I have ever had and yes you must give it a go! For those of you who are currently living in Korea, there is a small location in Itaewon where the foreigners reside. In addition to Korea and Australia, you can sure find this delicious chain of meat pies around the world, just be sure to check their website for both their sweet and salty pies.
