It's Skin Real Real Orange Lip and Eye Jelly Remover

This lip and eye jelly remover by It's Skin is definitely not one to be raved about. Although it is one of the best sellers, this product is nothing as advertised as a jelly. It is more like a lotion that helps to rub off the makeup that is on the eye and lip area. This gentle product does help to remove the top layer of makeup for cleansing, but it is not one to be used alone without proper washing after. Aside from the wonderful smell, there is not much about the product that drives me to make a second purchase. It is quite a disappointment for something that is labeled to be a "best seller" of the store. 

My Current Obsession - O'Sulloc Natural Green Cleansing Foam

From the Jeju tea garden that has been around since 1979, the O'Sulloc Natural Green Cleansing Foam uses organic green tea leaves in their face wash that is great for anyone with sensitive skin. Drawing and retaining moisture, green tea leaves help to detox the skin and remove any toxin. Thing includes removing make up residue and pollutants to purify the skin while simultaneously retaining moisture. Not only is it made with organic green tea leaves, it captures the sweet fragrance of citrus flowers that helps to refresh the skin and keep it young. Green tea is a great food good that is great for your whole body and being able to utilise that on a face with psoriasis is my big approval.


This O'Sulloc Natural Green Cleansing Foam feels a little harsher than other products because it is thicker. The cleansing foam isn't like other foams where it's bubbly and made of a water base, but I am in love with the product and absolutely recommend it to anyone with trouble skin. It is definitely a purchase that will be made again because of its cleansing effects.

Beauty Review - Vichy Purete Thermale Soothing Eye Makeup Remover

I recently discovered this amazing sensitive skin product line, Vichy. With a recommendation from a friend in the cosmetic industry, this is by far my favorite makeup remover. Made with cornflower water and Vitamin B, this sensitive eye makeup remover has a dual purpose to remove makeup and treat the appearance of fatigue eyes. 

Having a problem with dry eyes and constantly allergic to many products, I am a bit skeptical to try products around the eyes. Happily discovering this product, I will probably never try another eye makeup remover. It even has the same pH as tears which is a greater plus to anyone with dry eyes.

Simply shake up the product to mix the solution and wipe your makeup away. I have had problems with other products where I could not remove my makeup and had to constantly wipe around my eyes. With a cotton pad, makeup is easily removed with no problems whatsoever. I love that I do not have to tug at my eyes and become paranoid about pulling around the eye area.

I definitely recommend this product and the line to anyone with sensitive skin. Created by dermatologists, it is a great line to try out. There are many products that serve a dual even triple purpose which helps to save money on beauty care.

Food Goods - Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Being so caught up in the beauty industry and its product now a days, we tend to forget the simple household items that we have laying around will do us the same as would a product we spend double, triple, even ten times more on. Extra Virgin Olive Oil, EVOO, serves many beauty purposes that we are oblivious to. I've written in my previous blog, the use of EVOO as a makeup remover. It's great being it's all natural and of cheap.

For those with rough skin, rub some EVOO on your feet or hands, put on a pair of socks and or gloves and wake up with soft skin. Rub some on your elbows and knees to moisturize. EVOO also works on the lips to heal and prevent chapped lips.

Split ends? No problem, massage EVOO in your hair, cover with a shower cap for 30 mins, shampoo and rinse. I saw my roommate carry a bottle of EVOO into the bathroom and I thought she was crazy until I found out how well it worked!

For those who wear nail polish daily as I do and have stained nails and fingers, add a few drops of lemon juice to EVOO and soak. If you have thin, brittle nails and ragged cuticles, EVOO will definitely strengthen them for you.

Ran out of shaving cream? Use the smooth EVOO, perfect for sensitive skin.

Last uses of EVOO is perfect for the summer time. Lathering on some oil will protect the skin from UV rays while it simultaneously prevents the skin from drying. If you got a bad sunburn, be sure to mix EVOO with white vinegar and apply before a warm bath to heal the skin.

DIY - Makeup Remover

Let's admit it, make up removers can be pricey either that or not natural. Let's take it back to household items that can do the job. Many households have converted to using Extra Virgin Olive Oil for a healthier diet. EVOO, as Rachel Ray would say, is the perfect makeup remover. Don't worry about it clogging your pores because of it's thick texture. EVOO is soft to the skin and definitely handy for makeup removing purposes. 

For those who are conscious of their diet and love yogurt, plain yogurt can be found laying around a fridge. Dab with a cotton pad and wipe away, simple as that.

The most commonly used item Vaseline or simply petroleum jelly is practically in every household, being that it has a variety of functions for all ages. I have to admit, rubbing Vaseline all over your eyes leaving a sticky texture is not so great. With the summer season calling for tanning which can lead to sun burns, you probably have stashed a bottle of Aloe Vera in the bathroom cabinet. For those of you who dislike the feeling of 100% Vaseline, mix in Aloe Vera at a ration of one to one and wipe away!

In correlation to babies' smooth skin, many still use baby oil. Just like EVOO, baby oil works the same way so take your pick (or whatever is left in the house). 

For those of you who have babies or are accustomed to the use of baby wipes, baby wipes serve another function since you can use it as a makeup remover as well. It also saves the trouble of having to find a cotton pad, just be sure that the baby wipes you use are unscented to prevent any reactions or breakouts.
