Todays Lunch - Omelet Rice

The omelet rice is basically the Korean vegetable fried rice wrapped in a scrambled egg. This omelet fried rice is usually topped with a red or brown sauce depending on the restaurant you eat at. It differs between ketchup and something along the lines of a BBQ sauce. The omelet fried rice is definitely a cheap eat in Korea ranging from $4-6 American equivalent. It is a satisfying lunch for the filling rice and satisfying price.

My Current Obsession - Scented Nail Polish

I don't know about you, but I always have a bad habit of sniffing my nails after I get a manicure. Problem with that is there's a bunch of harmful chemicals that I should not inhale. I have been looking into this for a while now and this is where my current obsession comes to play, scented nail polish. Tuff Scent, a line that developed nail polish with a perfume scent has totally captured my attention. For the first three days, your nails will smell like the corresponding scent of choice. A two in one for beauty and makeup addicts like me! I'm definitely excited to stock up on this product and they ship internationally!

Sweet Tooth Satisfaction - Casse Crouje Icecream

One of the most popular tourist spots in Myeongdong is the Casse Croje's one foot ice cream. There is usually a long line for just $1.50 cone which is definitely worth it. You can choose between two flavors of a chocolate vanilla swirl or the strawberry yogurt swirl. Compared to American ice cream, it is not as sweet and strong of a taste like those back at home, but it is absolutely delicious and cheap, worth the price! This one foot ice cream cone has all the tourists and locals waiting on line, just to show how much of a value and tasty it is!

Product Review - Tony Moly Egg Line

For those of you who have been following along with the blog, you have read my brief review of the Tony Moly Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm. Since then, I have picked up a few more products in the Tony Moly egg line which includes the Blackhead Out Oil Gel and Egg Soap. The last product on the line that I did not pick up is the Egg Pore Tightening Pack because I am in love with my other tighteners. 

I recommend the Silky Smooth Balm for those with psoriasis to use on their skin. The balm is extremely smooth and doesn't irritate the skin. Although it feels like another thick level of cream on your skin, you can smooth it out by using a thin layer. It does go a long way and helps to reduce the bumps on your face. Anyone suffering with psoriasis on the skin will understand the patchy makeup look. The Silk Smooth Balm definitely helps to reduce the bumpy texture.

The Blackhead Out Oil Gel is a gradual process that helps to remove blackheads. From experience, it helps to decrease the size of blackheads and helps to eliminate white heads, which usually isn't too hard to get rid of.

One of the most popular products in Korea is the egg soap which many stores care. For some reason, I am a bit bias with the product and will only buy the Tony  Moly egg soap. Packaged in a cute egg carton container, there are two eggs that have the greatest scent, nothing like egg. The two eggs differentiate between morning and night use. After each use, my face is immediately as soft as a baby's butt. There is a small layer of smoothness that allows me to glide through my skin and I absolutely love the feeling.

Sweet Tooth Satisfaction - Mochi Made from Honey Kkultaraeyeot 꿀타래

When shopping in Dong Dae Mun in Seoul, I made a street food yum that I could not help but to record. The traditional Korean Court Cake of the name Kkultarae 꿀타래 is also known as Yongsuyeom takes a hard chunk of honey and putting a hole in the honey, it is slowly stretched and powdered with corn starch constantly until becoming sixteen thousand three hundred and four thin strands of honey. 

These strands are then sliced and stuffed with regular sesame, black sesame, and sugar. Combined, it is the ultimate sweet tooth satisfaction. It is amazing how the strands of honey melts in your mouth, leading you to the inner stuffings. For just $5, you receive a pretty box of 8. It is probably one of the best inventions I have found in Korea yet! You can probably even pick up a box for yourself, only if you are able to understand Korean by visiting the Se Jong Food website. When eating, be sure to pop them out from the bottom rather than lifting it out of the container. You can find these little carts all around popular areas of Seoul like Myeongdong and Insadong, but each have their own unique filling which are relatively similar. 

Food Goods - Strawberry

Recently, I've hopped on Beach Body Insanity and started a new diet which includes a great amount of strawberry. Being in Korea, strawberries are extremely fresh and a lot sweeter than those in America. Although it is a lot more expensive than those back in America, the taste definitely overrides the price. In addition to the great test, the variety of beauty uses for strawberries support why strawberries are my favorite fruit!

For starters, strawberries have an extremely high concentration of Vitamin C which helps to also act as a carbohydrate, protein and even fat. With just one cup of strawberries, you are receiving a great amount of vitamins, water, and even your daily fiber. In regards to skin, strawberries are a great anti oxidant which helps to clean your body from waste. It also helps to boost the immune system and help your skin glow. Therefore, it should be incorporated in your daily diet, even with these few simple ways to help your skin.

• Smooth skin in just a few minutes! There are two ways to do this, one is to cut a strawberry in half and rub it all over your face, just the same as you would with a kiwi. Another is to mash it up and scrub in circular motions all over your face and let it sit for a few minutes. This quick strawberry scrub will leave your  glowing after rubbing off those dead skin cells. 
• Acne remedy with 1/2 of sliced strawberries and 1 tablespoon of sour cream. Mash, combine and apply on the face for 10 minutes. Rinse and repeat every few days. 
• Reduce puffy eyes by placing a few slices of strawberry under your eyes for 10 minutes and relax in bed, just that easy. Remember to moisturize after!
• Pedicure scrub with just a handful of strawberries, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of kosher salt to give that scrub texture. Simply mix all the ingredients in a bowl, massage into the feet and rinse. 
• Hair shine can be achieved with just a handful of strawberries and a tablespoon of mayonnaise. Sounds disgusting almost to put mayonnaise in your hair, but it acts as a hydrating oil just like extra virgin olive oil. Mash to combine, apply into damp hair so that it glides easily, cover with a shower cap and warm towel. Rinse after a minimum of ten minutes and you will see a healthy head of shine. Remember to wash your hair as your normally would!
• Tooth whitener like the lemon, but all you have to do is mash up some strawberry and brush away. Your new toothpaste will even taste delicious! 

Street Food Yum - Egg Filled Bread

This street food yum is one of my favorites. For just a dollar, this slightly sweet flavored bread is topped with an egg. Made of a light and fluffy flour, it helps to satisfy any stomach that is craving for a mouth of snacking. It is definitely one of the popular eats in Korea and it does help to temporarily fill up any stomach that is dire need of food because it is made of flour. 

You will see a rectangular muffin pan that is filled with a bread mix. This mix is topped with an egg and placed over the fire to gradually cook until the final product is as it looks in the photo (just not as burnt usually). The best part about this egg bread is it being available at all times during the day. For such a cheap eat that you can quickly grab off of a street vendor, it is a must have at all hours!
