Skin Food Fresh Apple Mild Pore Peeling Gel

Skin Food's Fresh Apple Mild Pore Peeling Gel is one product that many locals pick up because it helps to gently remove dead skin from the surface. This gel is simply to be rubbed on in circular motion and all of the dead skin will gradually become visible. It is not something that makes you proud to show others, but is a product that works to help remove any skin build up. Over time, this can help reduce the darkness of scars because because you are gently removing the outer layer of your skin. Because it is a gel, it is gentle and not causing a rough scratch to the skin like many scrubs that are used to remove dead skin. It is definitely recommended for anyone with sensitive skin!

Beauty Pick Me Up - Skin Food Egg White Pore Mask

The Skin Food Egg White Pore Mask is loaded with albumin that consists of amino acids which is actually recommended for those with sensitive skin. It is a product that helps to close the pores of your skin and promote elasticity while retaining moisture. Being one of the best selling mask products at Skin Food, it was a definite pick me up to hopefully help promote clearer skin. On a fresh clean face, pack on a thick amount all over the face, avoiding the mouth and eye areas. After ten to fifteen minutes, simply wash off with lukewarm water. For those with extra sensitive skin, removing it within ten minutes is recommended. Even within ten minutes, those with sensitive skin may feel irritated and a red color which will diminish over time. After a few uses, the skin will adapt to the product and will not be as red as initial use. Within the first few uses, after washing off, a brighter skin is immediately visible. With use over time, the skin actually tightens. Be sure to use it at least three times a week, especially during the summer time to balance the sweat and oil retained on the skin from the hot weather.

My Current Obsession - Skin Food Grapefruit Nail Polish Remover

I am totally obsessed with Skin Food's Grapefruit Nail Polish Remover for the simple fact that it does it's job and it smells great. I hate the awful smell of chemicals that linger in the garbage can after removing nail polish and Skin Food's amazing product literally smells like grapefruit. It's such a fruity aroma that makes me want to actually sniff the product all day, which I probably shouldn't. Unlike acetone, like any other nail polish, it simply takes time to remove and it doesn't dry out the nail at all. This is one cheap pick up that I definitely recommend, totally worth the measly $2! It is a constant repurchase for sure!

My Current Obsession - Skin Food Fresh Aloe Pack

Because I've been going to the beach so much, I am obsessed with this Fresh Aloe Pack that helps to minimize peeling on the face and neck area and helps to hydrate my skin. A definite recommendation for those who engage in constant outdoor summer time fun.

Aloe works for all skin types and provides great hydration and moisture. Simply apply this aloe pack to the face in circular upward motions for 30 seconds. Leave it on for approximately five minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water to reveal smooth skin. This pack is extremely gentle on the skin. There are chunks of actual aloe which helps to exfoliate and remove dead skin. I am absolutely in love with the product and recommend it for everyday use, especially in the summer when the sun can be damaging to the skin. You can skip out on the weekly facial masks by simply using this wash off pack.

Beauty Review - Skin Food Black Sesame Hot Mask

I am in love with Skin Food's all natural products that are great for the face. My recent discovery is the Black Sesame Hot Mask which is more like a rinse off rather than a mask. This hot mask only requires 4-5 minutes a day and the best part is the heating application that penetrates the skin. This is one of the hottest and most efficient hot masks I have used in Korea.

The mask helps to open up the pores with a sesame and sugar mixture which helps to eliminate dead skin by scrubbing. It leaves your skin silky, soft, and smooth which is left behind from the black sesame seeds and gel texture that glides right through. Although the weather is getting warmer, it is still a great use to open up pores before popping a pimple or even doing your eyebrows.

My Current Obsession - Skin Food Black Sugar Mask Wash Off

The Skin Food Black Sugar Mask Wash Off is a hit seller at Skin Food. Many travel from all over the world just to pick up this face scrub and stack up on a bunch as well. Made from black sugar, the sugar particles melt away on your face as your scrub in circular motions. This wash off is made from great food ingredients that help to bring minerals and vitamins to the face, leaving smoothness and glow to the skin. I think it is one of the best scrubs that I have used by far. It is definitely one of the products to stock up and bring back home.

It is suggested to be used three times a week, but using it every other day will work as well. Especially with the warm season coming, the humid atmosphere will leave your face sticky. For those who are going out for a tan, this black sugar wash off will be perfect to wipe away the dead skin and leave you with the smooth underlying layer.

Beauty Review - Skin Food

After hearing about one of the natural and organic beauty stores in Korea, I have been itching to try the products at Skin Food. One of the best things about Skin Food is the variety of products from head to toe, literally. I love the integration of food goods in their beauty and skin care products because every fruit and vegetable has its own health benefits. Absorbing the best vitamins and nutrients from the variety of foods and delivering it to your body, Skin Food is a must visit beauty store in Korea.

For starters, I picked up two hair products which include the Lychee Essence Mist and the Cherry Tomato Wax. A cherry tomato combination sounds to be a bit peculiar, but this combo is very gentle on the hair which helps to achieve a light natural look while keeping the frizz out. I am in love with this product because I have yet to find a wax that is soft and smells good.

Another hair product that is a must have for those with damaged hair due to perms or color treatments is the Lychee Essence Mist. Using the wonderful extracts of lychee vitamins, it brings moisture to the hair and can even help to prevent split ends. Be sure to mist a thorough and even spray!

The last and my favorite product that I picked up from Skin Food is the Green Tea Boots Fresh Spray. It is evident that no one will always have the best smelling feet or pair of shoes and there should be no shame in admitting so. With this fresh pray, it is like deodorant for your feet which helps to eliminate odors and keep your shoes smelling fresh. This is extremely important in Korea, especially if you have a shoe cabinet where the smell can add up.

Another great thing about shopping in Korea is the number of samples that you are given. It does help to draw you into the many other products that they have and is a great way for someone with extra sensitive skin like myself to test the product before purchasing. I do have a few things that I am excited for and I look forward for my next shopping splurge at Skin Food, but until then, happy shopping!

Beauty Splurge - Korean Beauty Products

First off, HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEARS! For those of you who celebrate this special day, I wish you and your family the best of health and a prosperous new year. Because it is the week of the new year, I have been busy prepping and planning for the year. Best of all, there's been a lot of shopping included.

I haven't be sharing my beauty splurges in Korea which is a constant thing. Therefore, I decided to share this week's shopping splurge! For starters, I had to pick up a lemon scented bar soap from Lush along with their bar conditioner for the hair. I thought it would be great to finally experiment with the bar conditioner that I have been dying to try.

For the more Korean brands, The Face Shop is one of my favorite stores back at home with my constant splurges. Finally visiting the Korean Face Shop, I picked off where I left in America with the blemish treatment. Four items to help my random break out here in Korea: the Blemish Zero Bubble Foam Cleanser, Anti Trouble Healing Spot, Anti Trouble Blemish Patch, and the Pomegranate face mask.

Next, I made a stop at Skin Food, an extremely popular organic store that uses a bunch of food goods to develop beauty products from head to toe, literally. Just to experiment, I picked up the Green Tea Boots Fresh Spray, Lychee Essence Mist and Cherry Tomato Wax.

Last stop for this weekend is Holika Holika where I picked up a few of their top sellers which includes the Honey Canola Overnight Mask, the White Wine Therapy Sleeping Pack, the Baby Silky Foot Treatment packs, and a face mask with one of the cutest boys ever. Talk about a great marketing tactic!

Stay tuned for the many beauty reviews on these products! I am definitely excited to try them all out and share my hones opinion. Be sure to subscribe to the blog to win the New Year Giveaway which will include a few of these products as well!
