Restaurant Review - La Bonne Soupe

La Bonne Soupe
48 West 55 Street
New York, NY 10019
(212) 586-7650

A little hidden French restaurant in uptown, La Bonne Soup is two floors with a little outdoor balcony upstairs. I had the pleasure of having a team lunch here and the food was more than what I expected.

The restaurant has some great lunch dishes that average $13 per plate. I had the Croque Madame which was a ham sandwich topped with an egg and a side of salad. It was one of the best hot sandwiches I have had, considering it was just ham and cheese. I was so full from the sandwich, I was not able to finish my salad, but I’m glad I did not order a soup as well because I would have been overstuffed!

This restaurant seems to be my company’s favorite since they tend to bring the team over when the opportunity arrives. The French onion soup looked so good it made my mouth water so I will definitely return and order that next time. I plan on having a dinner here, being that I hear extremely good reviews from upper management about this place.

Makeup Review – Anastasia Brow Pen

Finally jumping back to do a product review on the brow pen that I picked up from my Sephora splurge way back! Unlike many other brow pens out there, the Anastasia brow pen is a liquid pen that does not allow for smudging. It is a great pen to add in a few lines here and there in the air, but you must be careful to not mess up your brows. It provides exact lines which are pretty hard to erase.

I’m a big fan of the amount of time it lasts. Just like regular liquid eyeliners, it will last you a whole night without any powdery effect so you don’t have to worry about touching your face and smudging something onto yourself. It definitely is something that is great for a night out, just be careful when applying and filling in your brows. Be sure to use short strokes!

Restaurant Review - NY Kom Tang Soot Bul Kal Bi

NY Kom Tang Soot Bul Kal Bi
32 West 32nd Street
New York, NY 10001

One of the oldest restaurants in Korean Town, New York that I am absolutely in love with. I stumbled upon this restaurant with a friend when I couldn't decide where to have Korean BBQ and I am glad that this was randomly chosen. It doesn't look all that great form the outside, but the service and food is absolutely amazing.

Every Korean BBQ comes with a whole bunch of sides, but I've never been to a place that has given me so much side dishes which includes raw crab and raw squid. A very good money's worth meal and this is one of the few places that offer me the steam egg which I did not share at all.

In regards to entrees, the Kalbi and Spicy Marinated Pork was ordered for the BBQ and an appetizer of Seafood Pancake. Although this is a traditional Korean restaurant, the food is not as spicy as I thought it would be. I was a bit reluctant to order the spicy pork at first, but it turned out to be delicious. The most appealing part of the meal is the kalbi that was unrolled from the bone when cooked. Although it is a very thin slice of beef, it was absolutely delicious.

Pricing is like every other Korean BBQ place which basically means expensive. This meal for two with juice and soda as drinks cost us a total of $85. A bit pricey, but I believe it was well worth it for the service and great food. I was so stuffed that I had extra for lunch so it technically filled three bellies.

DIY - Oscar Blandi Pronto Colore Root Touch-Up & Highlighting Pen

A new product on the market that is safe enough for pregnant women is a plus on my books. The Oscar Blandi Pronto Colore Root Touch-Up & Highlighting Pen is a great DIY at home to touch up roots that are always a no no and to provide highlights. It is a plus on my books because the amount of time it saves dropping in and out of the salon and the best part about it is the price. For a little over $20, you will have your roots colored in the comfort of your own home.

Today’s Lunch – Chicken Tikka & Kebab Combo from Biryani Cart

It was just last month that I started going on an Indian food crave when I first visited Biryani Cart. Well, it was so good, I returned today for a different combo. Just $7 for the chicken tikka and kebab which was so filling! Talk about Indian food when I couldn’t even eat my kebab because it was so spicy ahh! As always, the entrée is filled with meat, rice and a side of vegetables.

Definitely visit the car when you have a chance. The Biryani cart has been on food network a number of times and has been all over the newspaper for its authentic Indian food on a cart.

Today’s Lunch – Yip's Chinese Food

Yip Restaurant
52 West 52nd Street
New York, NY 10019
(212)397-8293

I’m definitely having a good day today and because I’ve been so deprived of food this weekend, I had to feast today. For some reason, Living Social gave me a $5 promotional credit and it just so happens that Yip was a part of their instant deals, pay $5 for a $8 lunch which equals to be a free lunch for me!

My overstuffed lunch bowl consisted of a shrimp and fish combo. Yip’s offer a great selection of pre made food during busy lunch hours. Simply walk in, make your selection and be well on your way to a full belly. With so much to eat, I was just stuffed by today’s lunch. This is the one thing I love about Chinese food, its usually for a cheaper price and fills up a lot more, leaving leftovers for another meal.

Food Goods - Tea

Here’s another banger with tea goods. I figure after my absence this weekend and the importance of tea for a night out for all the birthday boys and girls, I should share the other great deeds tea has as well. There are different types of teas that have different benefits, but here are the few:
  • Great cleaning tool around the house – Brewed tea can help to clean and shine wood furniture. Put in a spray bottle and it will help clean fingerprints from glass which can be used on mirrors and windows. Leave tea soaked in the toilet seat for a few hours and brush the stains away. To clean carpets, sprinkle dry used green tea leaves and leave for 10 minutes and vacuum.
  • Improve skin – Simply wash your face with calendula flower tea rather than benzoyl peroxide to soothe acne. Green tea will work just as well, but be sure to use the best natural and organic leaves possible.
  • Condition dry hair –After a regular hair wash, skip the conditioner and rinse your hair with unsweetened tea and leave it in for ten to fifteen minutes. Rinse again with water and enjoy.
  • Soothe a sunburn – Simply pat skin with cooled chamomile tea for the anti-inflammatory effect. Dry and broken skin may be irritated by this, so be careful.
  • Soothe tired eyes – Warm, wet tea  bags are shown t soothe pain around the eyes and reduce puffiness.
  • Lose weight – Drink tea after every meal to help lose a few pounds without having to sacrifice what you want to eat n the regular. It also helps to break down all the oily foods that you consume which is great in reducing any illnesses.
So next time you're out in a restaurant, order a cup of tea before splurging on coffee. It will not only help you stay awake, but it has many great uses as well.

Todays Lunch - Dyker Park Bagels

Today's lunch is the Pastrami Sandwich from Dyker Park Bagels that is loaded with pastrami meat, tomatoes, lettuce, mustard between a toasted hero. Dyker Park Bagels is an extremely popular store for their delicious sandwiches loaded with meat. Known for bagels and sandwiches, it is a spot in Brooklyn that many people make a stop throughout the day for their daily pick up. Although the sandwiches are a foot long of deliciousness, it is a bit pricey for $8. The good thing about it is that is shareable with others so you can save on the money!

Today’s Lunch – St. Andrew Restaurant and Bar

140 West 46th Street
New York, NY 10036
(212) 840-0814

This hidden but oh so delicious bar and restaurant is two floors of fun and filling food. Today’s lunch was the Maryland Crab Cake Sandwich on a Sourdough Roll that was grilled to perfection. Enclosed with a toasted bun and homemade slaw and chipotle aioli, this sandwich with fries and pickles was extremely filling. I definitely recommend St. Andrews Restaurant and Bar for good food, both night and day. There are no lunch specials, but there is a dinner pre-fix menu that can help you save a few bucks. Regardless of price, the restaurant is a great stop for traditional American foods.

Beauty Review – Yes To GOOD SKIN EVERYTHING

Finally doing a review of the Yes To splurge that I got a while back that I am absolutely in love with. I usually have problems with different products within a line, but there is not one product that I am not in love with in my purchase.

My absolute favorite product of all that I purchased is the Yes to Blueberries Brightening Facial Towelettes that won a Fitness Beauty Awards of 2011. This product is absolutely amazing and 8 bucks for 30 towel is quite a bargain. I am in love with the fact that it is all natural, and soft on the skin. I’ve always had a problem with makeup removing towels with it either not working too well or burning my eyes. These blueberry wipes work absolutely amazing, removing all eye makeup with just one wipe, no running reside left behind.

As for the face washes, I have used both and I am a bit bias in regards to the face wash. I love the Yes to Tomato Clear Skin Daily Clarifying Cleanser even with the peculiar tomato smell. With long use, I do feel a change in my skin, being smoother and shinier. It provides enough moisture to my skin that I can even skip the face lotion at times. It works extremely well with my sensitive skin, a true recommendation. As for the Yes to Bluberries Smoothing Daily Cleanser, I’m not a big fan of the milky texture which makes me use the product a little less. Because I am not all that crazy about aging, I don’t use it as much to see the difference in my skin, but I do feel immediate smoothness with use.

Lastly, the Yes to Carrots Hydrating Shower Gel is so soft to the skin, and surprisingly there is no smell from the carrots. The wash is so gentle and smooth that it just glides onto your skin and is a great exfoliater.  I am absolutely in love with this wash and it works so well with my psoriasis.

Todays Lunch - Pax Wholesome Foods

Today's half sandwich is the Cranberry Turkey sandwich from Pax. I am a big fan of the size which is great for those on a diet, but the price of it doesnt seem to be worth it. I paid a total of $4.30 for this, which is more than the price of half the sandwich, this is New York for you. I do love the fact that it helps me control my diet and gives me a little bit of room for some Organic & Fairly traded milk chocolate that I picked up at Whole Foods. Yum!

My Current Obsession - Halloween Makeup Must Haves

Feeding off of my last blog about glittery lip tattoos that are perfect for the Halloween season, there are a bunch of other makeup goodies that you can incorporate into your costume this year, going with a full out bang. I just cant help but to constantly search for all the makeup goodies for this Halloween holiday. This is crucially important to me because it will be the last Halloween that I am spending in the states, not sure if Koreans dress up for Halloween the way we do!

To top off a peacock costume, there is the PAPERSELF Peacock lashes that is made out of paper. These gentle but oh so fabulous lashes will top off any costume. PAPERSELF is known for their exquisite falsies that come in all different designs, a blast of fun!

For something not so dramatic, but is a twist on the average eyeliner, Dior created the Velvet Eyes, Backstage Eyeliners-To-Wear Multi-Wear Adhesive Eyeliner Patches that is outrageous and decked out with Swavorski crystals.

In addition to falsies and liners, ULTRAFLESH has the Flash Face Decorating Kit that allows for you to doodle anything that you want and top off your Halloween outfit in a special way.

All these great goodies can be found at Sephora, along with their makeup kits that provide you with all your needs to create the ultimate look! What is your plans for this special holiday where you can flaunt your makeup skills?

Restaurant Review - Peanut Butter & Co

Peanut Butter & Co
240 Sullivan Street
New York, NY 10012

(212)677-3995

For those peanut butter lovers, there is a Peanut Butter & Co Sandwich Shop located in a hidden street of Greenwich Village. Opened in 1998, Peanut Butter & Co is a shop that produces everything peanut butter from peanut butter sandwiches to peanut butter desserts to peanut butter drinks. They also sell their signature peanut butter in a bottle ready for pick up and take home.

With a twist on the traditional PB&J sandwich, the sandwich shop offers a mixture of special PB&J sandwiches for an average price of $7. The shop also carries other specialties and some of the must haves are the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, Peanut Butter Wafflewich Sundae and Fluffemutter Specialty Shake.

Makeup Review – Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Liner

I have been using this gel liner for quite some time now and I am absolutely in love with it. I love the dark color and soft texture of the liner that easily glides onto my lids with the right brush. Using a gel liner makes designing your lids a lot easier than using a liquid eyeliner and the best thing about it is it doesn’t smudge like pencil liners. Ah, the pleasure of having perfect eyeliner at all times.

The one thing that bothers me about the liner is how hard it is to remove. Even with eye-makeup removers, there may still be leftover liner that will bleed onto your skin as you sleep or as you shower. It takes a bit of tugging on the skin to remove this liner, but it may be just me and my skin.

For those of you who use this as well, let me know how it works for you and what’s your trick in removing the eyeliner!

My Current Obsession - Temporary Lip Tattoos

Yeap, you read it right—temporary lip tattoos. I don’t know about you, but I always have a problem with lipstick and having it smear off after a few hours, even with the primer. Skip the annoying fuss of having to deal with your lipstick with Violent Lip’s Temporary Lip Tattoos that provide you with a blast of shimmer lasting up to eight hours. It's an easy application for lips of all sizes and it's smooth on the lips, unlike many lipsticks. There's even a glossy finish so you don't have to add another layer of shine. For $15, you get a set of three lip tattoos. With Halloween coming up, this is a must have on my list for the night out.

Today's Lunch - Ranch 1

After being so food deprived yesterday and eating just bread for dinner and today's breakfast. I decided lunch was going to be an ultimate reward for my stomach. Today's over the top and filling lunch from Ranch 1 is the Chicken Bowl which was so filled to the top, I have left overs for tomorrow's lunch as well. What's even better about today's lunch is it only cost me a total of five bucks thanks to Living Social's Instant Deals. Nothing beats a good lunch for a cheap price, absolutely love cheap eats!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, sparks the time where many stores and companies promote to increase breast cancer awareness to customers and give back to the community. Many stories, especially supermarkets are filled with pink products that give back to help those with breast cancer. There is a way you and I can help by shopping and purchasing our favorite beauty essentials at Sephora where certain products donate a portion of sales made to organizations that help to raise awareness and find a cure. Help out and contribute just by doing what you normally do, shop.

Sweet Tooth Satisfaction - La Maison du Macaron

La Maison du Macaron
132 West 23rd Street
New York, NY
(212)243-2757

On a random craving for macarons at my last job, I randomly found La Maison du Macaron on my way home from work one day. With their specialty in macarons, there was a great assortment of goodies displayed in their window. I went in for a craving of one, but ended up buying a whole box that I did not share with anyone. Macaron were absolutely delicious, flavors are paired the right way with a flaky exterior and soft interior.

In addition to their delicious macarons, La Maison du Macaron carries breakfast goods, madeleins, tarts, and coffees. This little café is located right by the entrance to the Path and F, perfect for those who are on their way to work and home. Hopefully you can bite your tongue and fight your cravings!

Restaurant Review - Kunjip

Kunjip
9 West 32nd Street
New York, NY 10001
(212)216-9487

One of the best restaurants in Ktown (Korean Town), in my opinion, Kunjip is a must go to for all. It is open 24 hours that accommodates to the schedules of all. Kunjip is one of the best Korean restaurants that I have been to with extremely appealing foods and great tastes. Pricing can be a little high, but it is worth it for great food.

The bad things about this restaurant is having to wait for the whole party to arrive before being served, this is expected and understood for most busy places, but it is unacceptable for a place that doesn't follow this strictly. They allow for their regulars to sit with no problems, so expect that.

Their food is absolutely delicious. The must order is the raw platter of meat (above) which I don't remember the name to. Aside from that, I ordered the sliced beef bibimbob (spelled differently at other locations) which was delicious, but because there is so much more to choose from, bibimbob may not be your first choice.

Expect long waits if you are going during busy hours, but regardless, this place is pretty packed and I can understand why! I wish I worked closer to the area to eat more often.

Makeup Review – Hourglass Calligraphy Liquid Eye Liner

When I first discovered this product, I was in love with the fact that it was soft on the eyes, containing products like Chamomile, Aloe, Rosemary, and Perilla that conditions and nourishes the eyes. It is so soft on the eyes and works well with my sensitive skin. I’ve used so many different eyeliners that felt extremely damaging to my face that irritated my eyelid once lined until the moment it dried.

The calligraphy eye liner has an extremely precise felt-tip that helps to make drawing extremely easy, especially if you are looking for a thin line. The product is smear proof and waterproof which lasts me throughout the day. I love how it does not run like many other liquid eyeliners, but of course there are many cons to this product as well.

For one, I am not a fan of the eyeliner when I need to thicken my line. When you run the pen through to thicken your line and trace over the line you have already made, it removes the liner and leaves a visible streak. It takes a lot of time to wait for the eyeliner to dry up fully before you can run another coat through. Even with that, it is difficult for the ink to run through the tip. Many times, I use the side of the liner to get a thicker and darker look.

When it comes to eyeliners, I am always a fan of the darkest line possible and this pen does not give you that. It gives you more of a dark gray line which is perfect for everyday wear, especially work because it’s not so dramatic, providing more of a natural soft look. Even with using the side of the felt, it is difficult to fill your line in if you are doing a cat eye.

With that being said, stop by your nearest Sephora to give it a try before purchasing. It may work better with your skin than mine.

Today's Lunch - Luke's Lobster

With the many Luke Lobster stores in the New York area, and even a Luke Lobster's Truck, I have been itching to try this out for a while now. Although today's lunch was a bit pricey, almost $25 for the lunch combo, I thought the sandwich was delicious. For the Taste of Maine, I got a sample of the shrimp sandwich, crab sandwich, lobster sandwich, four claws, soda, and a bag of chips.

Although these sandwiches are bite size and not so filling, the sandwich is stuffed to the top with seafood and I still had to share with someone to finish the combo. I thought the bread was extremely delicious, so good that I'm willing to pay for the bread alone. This meal might be a bit pricey, but it is definitely worth it to try out because of the hype that's around the sandwich. I thought the sandwich was pretty good, but it might depend on location because I have heard not so great reviews about the truck. Next time you're in town, stop by the East Village location!

Pamper Me Pretty - Millies All About You

Millies All About You Salon & Spa
15-21 College Point Blvd
College Point, NY 11356
(718)460-6119
http://www.milliessalonspa.com/

I had the pleasure of visiting Millies All About You Salon & Spa today which was extremely pleasurable, but it seemed like I only got half of what I paid for. I booked a couples massage and facial, but because one massage therapist was out sick, we were told that we had to separate our services and switch off when we got there. Extremely unprofessional on their part, but overall the services was great.

The best part about the spa was the massage. A full body massage, and I mean full body. Many places skip out on the palms of your feet and areas of your face and back of the head, but the massage therapist that I had today was extremely precise in hitting every centimeter of the body. With enough force and a variety of massage styles, my deep tissue massage was very worth it.

In regards to the facial, co-owner Kiki's facial includes both extraction and exfoliation, unlike many places that forces you to choose between the two. I was not too happy about her exfoliation process though. There wasn't much massage to the face which is crucial in a facial. Massaging areas of the face helps to reduce wrinkles and lift the face. Without the micro-massages, I felt a bit cheated of my money.

The staff was extremely helpful. There is no parking lot so I had to street park it and they even went to my car to fill the meter for me while I enjoyed my spa. The only bad thing is that they are limited in languages and English is not their best language. For those of you who speak Spanish, this will be your place to go. Overall, I enjoyed my spa, but it is a little too out of the way for me so I do not know if I will be returning anytime soon. If you do plan to go, check the website for weekly discounts.

Makeup Review - Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies

There’s been a lot of hype with this mascara, especially with the makeup and beauty gurus. For some reason, I don’t find that it helps my lashes in any way. I find that I am not the only one who has a problem with this mascara, but majority votes that this mascara is a must have, providing volume and length like false lashes would, therefore you save time and the extra step of putting on false lashes.

My experience with the mascara was like every other. It did not live up to my expectations of true falsies look. The look I got was one that I would have gotten with any other mascara. This mascara felt a little dry and clumpy on my lashes, which is not the chief complaint. I felt that because it was so dry and lumpy, it just made me so bummed out because it is incomparable to other volume and lengths mascara I have used, even a drugstore brand.

I am one of the few that have a problem with this mascara, and I mean one of the very few. Hopefully it works well with you, costing half, even one third of the price I normally pay for mascara, I wasn’t too bummed out, but I would much prefer my Benefits They're Real! mascara. I love having hand me downs that make me feel important to friends and family, especially when it works wonders for them!

Sweet Tooth Satisfaction - Lily O’Briens Café

Lily O’Briens Café
36 West 40 Street
New York, NY 10018
(212)575-0631

For those of you who follow me on twitter @cunggie, you would know that I’m pretty much not having a good day today. Feeling a little upset, I had to find some way to cheer myself up. Nothing is better than chocolate for me. After having lunch in Bryant Park today, I decided that Lily O’Brien’s would be the best stop for my chocolate.

Five bucks for four pieces of chocolate, I picked up the chocolate truffle, dark chocolate truffle, vanilla latte, and simply chocolate. I also grabbed a sticky toffee that is single wrapped for just a buck. The chocolate is absolutely amazing. A solid chocolate outer layer that juices once you bite into it. The chocolate just melts in your mouth, melts all my problems away.

I also picked up a red velvet macaroon which I wasn’t too happy about. I was extremely excited to try it out, but it definitely was not worth the $2.50 I paid for it. Maybe I’m just not a macaroon person today, but the chocolate is a must.

Lil O’Briens Café also carries many signature coffee and chocolate drinks. Aside from the calories, it is a must try. I skipped out on it because I felt that I was having a little too much intake of calories for today.

Restaurant Review - Oh! Taisho

Oh! Taisho
9 Saint Marks Place
New York, NY 1003
(212) 673-1300

This underground Japanese BBQ and restaurant is the perfect place for snacks, lunch, dinner, a late night snack—the whole day! With skewers at an average price of $2 per stick, Oh! Taisho can be a little pricey for those on a budget, but pricing is average for eating out in the city area. Skewers are glazed with a Japanese sauce and slowly BBQed until perfected. A must order, as nasty as it sounds, is the chicken skin and quail eggs. Another one of my favorites is the grilled salmon rice ball which is extremely filling and cheap.

Customer service at Oh! Taisho may be minimal because there is always an influx of people. For first timers that travel in a group to Oh! Taisho, I do not recommend ordering the BBQ combos because you don’t save much. It is better to order things that cater to your tastes and one dish that is almost everyone’s favorite is the fried squid. Although there aren’t a lot of pieces, it should be enough to get around for everyone.

When it comes to drinks at Oh! Taisho, you’re better off spending your money on pitchers of beers than any other drinks. Soda and soft drinks are a bit of scam with extremely high prices for small amounts of drinks. If you must order a drink, I suggest ordering a large Calpico for the price of $5. It will come in a big mug, but don’t expect to get cups to share with others because you will be charged.

Regardless of all the cons, Oh! Taisho is still one of my favorite Japanese BBQ restaurants to this day. I suggest going before 7pm to be seated and served quickly!

Makeup Review - Cover FX

I recently discovered Cover FX, a pricey but great makeup line created by dermatologists who understand the difficulty and strives to have clear skin, without the use of makeup. This corrective makeup is half skin care product, half makeup which helps to improve your skin with wear this means any skin problems (psoriasis included). It is absolutely amazing and works wonders with the skin. With daily use, the skin will gradually clear to the point where it is flawless.

Aside from being an amazing product, it is the only makeup line I know that contains my natural color without having to mix. Cover FX offers a pink and yellow undertone mix because there are people, like me, who do not have a complete pink undertone, or a complete yellow. With that said, I am able to find a color that blends well with my skin and provides me with a more natural makeup. It blends completely well to hide any psoriasis marks I have on the face or any other part of the body, it just takes a bit of time.

I do have a few dislikes about this makeup which is the foundation being very thick. It takes a lot of blending out with a brush and I am not a fan of using a brush because I do not like streak marks and I feel brushes do not provide me with an even coverage. Aside from having to use the brush, I feel that blending takes a bit more time, especially if I want to hide a psoriasis marks, but it does hide extremely well. Product can even hide tattoos! In addition to the natural texture of the product, I had a problem with the concealer which comes off to be dark, but lightens as you blend. Because it required more blending than normally, I felt that the thick texture caused me to pull at my eyes and other areas a little too hard.

At the end of the day, I still have not found the right product that works with my face completely. I have found many products that compliment my skin and works well with it, Cover FX included. I do recommend, if you are interested in giving it a go, to pick up the Cover FX Clear Prep Primer which will also help clear up your skin. It works well with other products and I definitely replaced my all natural Korres primer for this. A bummer, but I absolutely love this line.

This Week's Shopping Splurge

This week’s shopping splurge consisted of Forever 21, Harmon’s Discount, and a variety of drugstores.

I’m extremely excited to share with you my shopping splurge at Forever 21 for the cheap items of clothing and accessories that I picked up. Nothing can beat basic tanks that can be paired with any outfit for less than $3. Another unbelievably cheap pick up is the two skinny belts that cost me $3.50. What I couldn’t believe was the price of other skinny belts for just $1.50!

The only top that I picked up was a leopard print racer back dressy top that is extremely comfortable and sheer. This versatile top can be worn as a casual top as well as an outfit night out. My Forever 21 splurge mostly consisted of trouser-like pants which include the colors of gray, purple, and olive. My ultimate favorite of all bottoms is the olive loose fitted, high-waisted woven pants with front pleats.

Moving on, a must have for every household is the dryer balls. This is my second set of dryer balls because one popped on me, I decided to get a new set and have a backup ball. These dryer balls are used to soften the fabric without the need of fabric softeners and dryer sheets. It does not have a fragrance, but it does reduce the amount of chemical intakes to your clothing which is recommended for those with sensitive skin.
Saving the best for last, my drugstore makeup splurge consists of only mascaras. I couldn’t decide between the bunch, so I decided to just purchase them all! The mascaras that I picked up this week were Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara, Maybelline The Colossal Volum Express Mascara, Maybelline Define a Lash Volume Mascara, and Covergirl Nature Luxe Mousse Mascara that has a sealed cap.

That is all for now, until my next splurge!

Beauty Review – Sephora by OPI Nail Colour Remover

If you’re a nail polish person like me, always having to have a coat of color on your nails, then you’ll definitely love this product. OPI’s nail polish remover is less damaging on the nails like acetone, but works faster than drugstore nail polish removers. This nail polish remover contains grape seed oil, vitamin E and extracts of sea kelp and aloe vera that leaves cuticles soft.

My favorite about this nail polish remover is the smell. It doesn’t have a damaging smell like acetone and is extremely gentle on my skin. I'm not a big fan of the dry feeling that acetone leaves on my nail, although it does take the nail polish off quickly. The only bad thing is this four ounce bottle costs $9 which is extremely expensive compared to a $5 bottle of acetone that is triple the size or even a bottle of drugstore nail polish remover for $1. Regardless of price, I think it is worth it for all the good it does for the nail. The key is to treat and take care of your nails, especially if you're big on beauty. Pricing is worth what good it does for you.
