Makeup Review - e.l.f.

Eyes Lips Face

I'm sure you have all heard of the brand elf that's available in drugstores. I snatched up a bag of goodies just a week or two ago from their website. I got everything from lip liner, eye liner, lip gloss, lip stick, eye tools, lashes, and more. It was word of mouth that lead me to try this brand and I admit, I'm not such a big fan of a lot of the products I got. First off, there's been countless complains about the swatches elf provides you on their website, it is nothing like the products they send. I bought a few mineral lipsticks and of all that I bought, my favorite is probably Party Pink. It's a pretty neutral color and it glides on smoothly. My least favorite, although I was looking forward to this color is Runway Pink. I am not a fan of how it glides on -- not smooth at all. I feel it drying up my lips right away, so remember to wear a lip balm prior to use. I have to admit it's perfect for those who don't want to spend a lot on lipstick for a measly $5 a pop compared to others that are roughly $20 and up.

One of the products I am extremely happy with is their liners, both lip and eyes. For a low $3, it was the perfect color of brown and coffee eyeliners and the Rose lip liner (nothing like the swatch online) is exactly what I wanted, something neutral to go with pretty much every lipstick since it compliments my lips pretty well.

I also picked up a few of their eyelashes and individual lash. For just $1 a pop, it was definitely worth the price. Their fibers are pretty soft, I expected a cheap material but I am extremely happy with this pick. elf has so many products that are just $1 and its perfect for those who are on a budget or want to sample around, that's exactly what I did, picking up eyebrow stencil kit, nail polish remover pads, and more. If it really doesn't work out for you, hey it was only a dollar.

The last thing I would like to comment on is elf studio's Makeup Mist & Set. It is a makeup setter that's perfect for everyday use. It is the one thing that I recommend purchasing because you cannot go wrong with something that holds your makeup all day! It's made with aloe, green tea, cucumber, and vitamins a, c, and e so it's perfect for those with sensitive skin and skin problems just like me.

Feel free to share your own opinion and let me know what you would like me to write about :)
